چکیده
Recent breakthroughs in mobile phone technology are focusing on new techniques that allow the compact integration of dualband printed antennas into handsets with an increase in their inherent narrow bandwidth. In this letter, no el rectangular, circular, triangular, hexagonal, and bow-tie-shaped spur-line dual-band printed structures ha e been designed, measured, and compared. Although a secondresonant frequency is obtained, it has been clearly made e ident thatspur-line filter techniques are unable to obtain broad-bandwidth ele-ments, unless they can be combined with other methods. 2001 JohnWiley & Sons, Inc. Techniques for Reduction of Multiple Access Interference in Fiber-optic Cdma Systems
Fiber-optic CDMA is an emerging technology with far more advantages than the conventional TDMA and FDMA techniques. The only limitation of FO-CDMA is the multiple access interference among the users simultaneously accessing the network. This paper reviews the techniques proposed in the literature for the reduction of multiple access interference (MAI) between the users simultaneously accessing ...
متن کاملSynchronous Fiber-Optic CDMA Systems with Interference Estimators
Multiple-user interference estimation and cancellation techniques are proposed for synchronous optical codedivision multiple-access (CDMA) communication systems. At the receiving end the multiple-user interference is estimated and is used to adapt a threshold level that is placed after an optical correlator. The special properties of the modified prime sequence codes are utilized in the estimat...
متن کاملSynchronous Optical Fiber Code-Division Multiple-Access Networks with Bipolar Capacity
A non-coherent synchronous optical fiber code-division multiple-access (CDMA) network is proposed. In this network, sequence-inversion keying (SIK) of intensity modulated unipolar balanced Walsh code sequences is employed, whereby a code sequence is transmitted for each data ‘1’ bit while the logical complement of that sequence is transmitted for each data ‘0’ bit. At the receiver the received ...
متن کاملGaussian Approximation of the BER for Non-Coherent Optical Fiber CDMA Networks Using Sparse Codes
An analysis based on a Gaussian approximation of the BER performance for noncoherent optical fiber code-division multiple-access (CDMA) networks (both asynchronous and synchronous) is presented. The effects of shot noise, thermal noise, interference and the architecture of optical receivers are included in the evaluation of the BER. A general equation for the BER is established and it is shown ...
متن کاملEstimation and cancellation ofmulti-user interference in synchronous 'ber-optic PPM-CDMA system usingManchester coding
A multi-user interference estimation and cancellation technique is proposed for direct-detection 'ber-optic code division multiple-access communication systems employing pulse-position modulation. In addition, Manchester codes are used in signaling the transmitted data to further improve the bit-error rate (BER). The multi-user interference of any user is estimated with the help of properties o...
